Canadian Music and Arts College ("we","us", "our") is committed to the protection of users’ ("you", "your", "yours") privacy in accordance with the principles outlined in the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit register, or make a purchase from www.cmaccollege.ca (the "Site").

PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT through REGISTRATION
We only collect specific personal information, such as your name, email, phone number if you voluntarily complete any online form provided from our Site, include any of your personal information in the email sending to us, or register to use certain features from our Site. 
We only collect minimum amount of personal information as necessary for the purpose of 1) carrying out the academic mandate and the related administrative activities; or 2) use for law enforcement. 
Your personal information is not used nor disclosed unless it is for the purpose for which the information was collected, or you have given your consent to whom the information pertains so that the followings might be fulfilled:
1. An employee from the Canadian Music and Arts College could perform official duties 
2. In certain cases, external law requirements are met externally
3. In compassionate circumstances we could reach the emergency contact

USERNAME AND PASSWORD for REGISTRATION
To use our Site, you may be required to register. Upon registration, you agree to provide true, accurate, and complete current information in regard to yourself. And you shall keep updating the information you provided should there is any change to it. You might need a username and a password during the registration process. You are responsible to maintain the confidentiality of the username and password and pay attention not to disclose the username and password to anyone. We will not ask you for your username and password. Inform us at once if you notice any unauthorized use to your account. We are not liable to any loss or damage resulted from your failing to protect your username and password.

COOKIES
When you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device. Additionally, as you browse the Site, we collect information about what websites or search terms referred you to the Site, and information about how you interact with the Site. We refer to this automatically-collected information as " Device Information".

Additionally, when you make a purchase or attempt to make a purchase through the Site, we collect certain information from you, including your name, billing address, shipping address, payment information (such as credit card numbers), email address, and phone number. We refer to this information as "order Information".

When we talk about "Personal Information" in this Privacy Policy, we are talking about the personal information you provided for registration, your Device Information and your Order Information.

HOW DO WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?
We use the Order Information that we collect generally to fulfill any orders placed through the Site (including processing your payment information and providing you with invoices and/or order confirmations).  
Additionally, we use this Order Information to:
1) Communicate with you; 
2) When in line with the preferences you have shared with us, provide you with information relating to our programs or courses.

We use the Device Information that we collect to help us screen for potential risk and fraud (in particular, your IP address), and more generally to improve and optimize our Site (for example, by generating analytics about how our visitors browse and interact with the Site).

ACCESS PERSONAL INFORMATION
You have the right to access your own personal information and to ensure the information is kept up to date. 
We will ask for your consent if we need to post any kind of review or comment that might reveal any piece of your personal information (ex: your name). We only disclose your personal information without your knowledge or consent specified and permit by the law to a law enforcement agency such as a police force in case of emergency.

PROTECTION OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
Only verified staff could access your data. Your personal information, when transferred to us through our Site, is encrypted with Secure Socket Layer (SSL) to ensure the privacy of your data is protected. 

CHANGES
We may update this privacy policy from time to time in order to better protect the privacy of your personal information.
